As I have realised that the deadline for editing is approaching, I decided to spend my free periods in the Media Studies room editing. I aimed to continue editing the first minute and a half of the song at least, as it would mean that the production was already half complete. However, to my horror I noticed that the editing that we had accomplished at the City Learning Centre was not saved, therefore we only had 8 seconds of editing rather than 28 seconds. Although the difference does not sound a great deal, it in fact took a long period to produce, as the beats to the music were quick and sharp, hence the change of shots every half a second. Nevertheless, I was confused as to how this was possible as it is not necessary to save when using I Movie, since the programme automatically saves any changes in the project. It is for this reason I did not reach my aim of completing the first minute and half, as instead I tried to find the missing files on the removable hard drive. I soon concluded that it was not possible to recover the missing files, so I decided to let my group know about the incident and reflected upon what could be done. As a conclusion, the group and I have decided to start the production again from the beginning, however we are sure to avoid any problems and create a new and improved production.
