Layout Decisions- Advertisements

Before I begin creating the advertisement for the promotion of the digipak, I have made a few stable decisions based on the conventions of the advertisement, as well as the colour scheme and layout. These ideas have come about as I believe that they will create an established link between the digipak and advertisement, which is the proposal for the advertisement.

Decisions

  • The colour scheme will remain the same, and the same image of the pink, orange and purple sky will be employed as the background.
  • The fonts will remain the same, however the most important information will be the 'Stencil' font.
  • The urban landscapes will also have to be incorporated as it foreshadows the pop rock genre, this is vital as people who have not heard of the band may be attracted to the genre and therefore listen to the band.
  • The renowned image of the half dog half girl creature will also be incorporated as this also suggests the genre, but it is also seen as a signature image.
  • The advertisement will include all if not most of the conventions of a album advertisement, for example ratings, where the album will be sold etc.
